PARENT - TEACHER INTERACTION

PARENT INTERACTIONS

Parents and guardians are expected to co-operate with the school authorities in implementing regularity and discipline by taking a keen interest in the studies of their children and the activities of the school. They can meet teachers on the days scheduled and notified by the school. They can meet the principal on all Wednesdays and Fridays from 2.30 to 4.30p.m.

1. The Co-operation and good will of the parents is an essential component of an effective parent - teacher relationship in order to provide maximum educational opportunities for children, the school needs the involvement of parents in many of its activities.

2. Parents and guardians shall co-operate with the school by adhering to the rules & regulations as amended from time to time.

3.Parents are encouraged to give positive suggestions for the improvement of academic standards.

4. Parents shall not attempt to meet the teachers when a class is on progress.

5. Parents are recommended to make use of the pages set apart in this diary for your own remarks. The dates on which progress cards are issued are given in the diary, Please make sure that you go through the marks and sign the progress card without delay.

6.Criticism of teachers or of the school in the presence of the students, is best avoided, Legitimate complaints should be brought to the notice of the principal without delay. Anonymous letters are not appreciated.

7. All dues must be cleared before a student is admitted to the terminal and final examinations.

8. Attending the P.T.A., meeting as well as other important functions in the school are a duty and a service parents owe to their children.

9. Parents shall check the school diary daily and take note of communication from school contained there in and also the home work given. They shall also acknowledge circulars and teacher's remarks in the space provided in this diary.

10. Any requests, complaints etc. should be given in writing at the school office.

REQUEST TO THE PARENTS

1. To be aware that the total and integral formation of the child is more important than mere academic excellence.

2. To visit the teachers at least once in a term to enquire about the progress of the child.

3. To show due respect to teachers and to actively participate in the P.T.A Meetings.

4. Not to allow their children to wear gold ornaments in the school.
Not to bring cars, Motor cycles or scooters into the school play ground during school hours.

PTA

PTA has a very active role in the success of the institution. The education of a child is not confined to professional expertise of the teachers, if is also equally a matter of the personal involvement and experience of the parent. Parent Teacher Association has an executive committee which is selected yearly. All important decisions pertaining to the institution are taken with due consideration of the feedback received from the PTA.
